Benchmark planning for rail and passenger transport company
A project to devise a form of benchmark planning for one of the leading companies in the rail and passenger transport sector included the following:
- Developing a tool where all five business divisions can do their planning
- Using coordination within the tool (based on an integrated market) to resolve conflicts
- Setting clear areas of responsibility for each business division as part of the project
- Integrating dynamic scenario analyses to depict the various planning stages
- Using consolidation within the tool to provide an overall picture of the company
- Automating company management reports using predefined key figures
The project involved developing, in close collaboration with the client, a planning tool for the efficient execution and transparent representation of strategic benchmark planning.
