If you are traveling by car 

Please note

Please use the entrance gate with signboard Helbling. If the site is closed call at the interphone system on the left hand and our reception will open the gate.

Please use the parking spaces reserved for "Helbling Besucher" [Helbling visitors] in front of entrance D or the public car park opposite the Restaurant Schützen.

From Berne/Lucerne A1 

  • Take the Aarau West exit (approx. seven-and-a-half km to Schachenallee 29)
  • Turn off after the Aarau - Basel exit
  • At the entrance to the town, take the roundabout for Olten
  • After the roundabout get into the traffic lane for Olten
  • At Rathausplatz cross the Olten road and turn into Vordere Vorstadt
  • Before you get to the Stadttor, turn left into Ziegelrain/Schachenallee...

 from Zurich A1

  • Take the Aarau Ost Aarau/Suhr exit (green signs)
  • freeway off-slip (approx. seven-and-a-half km to Schachenallee 29)
  • At the freeway exit, follow the signs for Olten/Basel "Schachen, Telli"
  • Take the right-hand lane and after the traffic light turn right into Tellistrasse
  • Transit Olten/Basel "Schachen" past two roundabouts and several sets of traffic lights in the direction of Olten, transit as far as "Schachen, Damm"
  • Turn left and travel as far as the "Gasthof zum Schützen"
  • Turn left again into Schachenallee... 

From Basel/Frick A3 

  • Frick exit
  • Follow the signs for Aarau (approx. 15 km to Schachenallee 29)
  • After Aarebrücke turn right ("alle Richtungen, Luzern, Olten") as far as "Schachen, Damm "
  • Turn left and travel as far as the "Gasthof zum Schützen"
  • Turn left again into Schachenallee…..

 

by public transportation:

If you are traveling by rail or bus 

Aarau can be reached easily with public transport. 

  • You can walk from the main railway station in approx. ten minutes (to Schachenallee 29)
  • From Bahnhofstrasse turn into Vordere Vorstadt
  • Before you get to the Stadttor, turn left into Ziegelrain/Schachenallee
