Model Driven Architecture (MDA) Software Development

Background: 
A graphical AUTOSAR configuration tool needs to be developed for a leading automotive supplier.  The tool should be designed extremely flexibly using the latest software development methods (MDA, Eclipse, XML).     Procedure  From an AUTOSAR-XSD schematic an EMF and UML-model was created in Eclipse.  The flexible GUI was created using RCP.  As input files for the GUI special XML files were developed.  The data configured in the GUI are saved using an XML output file.  Result  The configuration tool was successfully integrated into the supplier’s AUTOSAR tool chain.  Project timeline: 1 ½ years
