Modeling a System for Ship Loading and Unloading for Bulk Goods
Helbling Technik supported the development of a pneumatic ship unloader with verification calculations based on an FE analysis. The unloader has a capacity of 1000 tonnes/hour, making it one of the most powerful in the world.
Our tasks:
- Supporting the structural modeling and design of the most important components of the structure
- Definitive modeling with a detailed FE analysis: Strength and stability considerations
- Preparing the verification calculations in accordance with norms and guidelines
- Considering operational loads, exceptional loads, wind and earthquake loads as well as assembly and transport loads
- Testing the static strength and also the fatigue strength of the design
- Documenting the whole calculations and analyses for the customer
