Optical Sensor for reading a Mechanical Counter
Helbling Technik was responsible for the development of a low-cost sensor for the automatic reading of a mechanical counter. The product typically consists of active illumination optics, an imaging sensor and embedded electronics and software for image processing and communication. The module is used in consumption management in the supply of water, gas and energy.
Our tasks:
- Complete product development (plastic optics, mechanics, electronics and software)
Integration of the product design in cooperation with the industrial designer
Evaluation of the manufacturing partner (plastic injection molding, electronics) - Support field tests
- Development of production means
- Implementation of revision and adaptation for series production
