Workflow-based Application for the Controlling and Reporting of Financial Services
Project description
The Financial Services Standards Association (VQF) offers single-source compliance services to financial intermediaries of the Swiss para-banking sector. Helbling developed a collaboration platform for the VQF so it could monitor compliance regulations more easily and transparently. It also implemented a state-of-the-art, process-oriented workflow application that automated a large number of tasks in the VQF’s back office.
The existing controlling and reporting solution had become slightly outdated and was experiencing a few instabilities. The new system, which would replace the old one, needed to be developed quickly and with strict adherence to the budget. Installation was to use a big-bang adoption approach, i.e. without the new and old systems running in parallel. Data migration proved to be a particularly tricky challenge since the data structure in place in the old system was entirely different than in the new one. Helbling addressed each of these requirements in detail and developed the software using the most up-to-date methods and technologies.
